As we speak, President Trump has deployed thousands of National Guard troops, federal agents, and local police forces to the streets of D.C. to target Black and Brown residents, immigrants, and unhoused people — all in an effort to expand his power and sow fear in our communities. This militarization is about control, not safety. And now they're threatening to target people exercising their First Amendment right to protest. Unfortunately, this is likely just the beginning as the Trump administration has threatened to deploy military troops into other beloved American cities like Chicago, Baltimore and New York City. We want to make sure you know your rights when protesting this extreme abuse of power by the administration.
