Brianna joined the ACLU-DC in April 2022, though she is no stranger to building relationships through fundraising. Prior to this, she worked as a longtime Canvass and Regional Director with Grassroots Campaigns, organizing face-to-face canvasses, volunteer organizing projects, and mentoring new organizers around the country. A South Jersey native, Bri has been based in D.C. since 2018 where she’s proudly canvassed for causes such as abortion access, immigrants’ rights, climate action, and healthcare for several nonprofits over the years--including on behalf of the ACLU. She’s happy to say that if you live in the DMV, she’s probably knocked on your door.

Bri received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and her master’s degree at Charles University in Prague where she graduated with distinction. Her studies have always focused on Eastern and Central Europe, where she studied assimilation and their immigrant communities in the US (which she belongs to herself) and grassroots movements in the region. She returned to the US in the fall of 2016 to use her voice and fight for civil rights at home.

In her spare time, Bri can be found talking someone’s ear off about abortion access, reading (and attempting to write), and working to identify the best bagels in D.C. She is also on a personal mission to befriend every dog and cat she sees.
