Jill Holcomb, CFRE joined the ACLU-D.C. as Director of Philanthropy in June 2025. Over the past twenty years, she has secured funds and built relationships for international and national nonprofits. She previously raised funds for Sojourners, a national organization protecting civil rights, the right to vote, and vulnerable groups. She served as Director of Development for International Student House raising its profile in the D.C. area. Internationally, she worked for organizations preventing violence and atrocities in the Middle East and Central Africa. A native of rural Illinois (you will not find her hometown on a map), she has been based in D.C. since 2001. She sits on the Boards of two organizations which provide scholarships to students attending D.C. area universities.
Jill received a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University and completed master’s degree work at the George Washington University. Her studies focused on international relations and conflict resolution. She is a Certified Fundraising Executive and committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in fundraising.
Jill prefers tea over coffee and has strong opinions about how to prepare a good cup of tea.
