Washington D.C.’s criminal justice system is broken. Community trust in police is diminished, systemic racism drives increasing inequality and inflicts harm on communities of color, and violence persists in our neighborhoods.

These problems have only been exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis.

Join us for an Online Candidate Forum where we'll we ask candidates for D.C. Council seats in Wards 7 and 8 how they will advance criminal justice reform if they are elected to serve the District. All candidates on the June 2 primary ballot have been invited to attend.

Closed-captioning and live Spanish language and ASL interpretation will be provided. The events will be recorded.

Wards 7 and 8: May 6, 2020

The forum for candidates for D.C. Council in Ward 7 will run from 6 - 7 PM ET.
The forum for candidates for D.C. Council in Ward 8 will run from 7 - 8 PM ET.
