Join us for a community forum about racial disparity and arrests with a specific focus on returning citizens on December 17th, 2013 at the Washington Ethical Society, 7750 16th St. NW, Washington, DC 20012.  According to our report, in 2010, 91 percent of all marijuana arrests were of African Americans despite the National Drug Use Survey showing that there is little disparity in drug use between Whites and African Americans. These arrests for marijuana possession, a non-violent offense affects a person’s ability to secure and maintain a job, find housing and further their education.  This event is co-sponsored by the Friends and Family of Incarcerated People
