We represented Pepin Tuma, a young man who was falsely arrested by D.C. police in 2009 in apparent retaliation for chanting “I hate the police” while walking near a group of police officers. The case was settled for a satisfactory sum of money, expungement of Mr. Tuma’s arrest record, and an in-person apology from the arresting officer.
