Join the ACLU of the District of Columbia for our Annual Membership Meeting on Sunday, September 16. The meeting is open to the public, everyone is welcome! The meeting will feature a panel discussion with:
- April Goggans, Black Lives Matter D.C. core organizer and ACLU-DC client
- Elizabeth Lagesse, former J20 defendant and ACLU-DC client
- Jay Brown, Deanwood community member seeking police accountability
The discussion will be moderated by the ACLU-DC’s Police Accountability Organizer, Natacia Knapper, and will touch on protest and the First Amendment, criminal justice reform, and the NEAR Act. You will be also be able to speak with department leaders and ask questions about projects, lawsuits, and activities in the affiliate.
ASL interpretation will be provided.
Transportation: Sixth & I does not have a parking lot, and street parking is limited. There is a paid parking lot directly across the street at PMI (600 Massachusetts Ave NW) for up to two hours of parking for $16. Sixth and I is two blocks from the Chinatown/Gallery Place Metro station on the Red or Green/Yellow Line.
